GIZ runs a programme in Afghanistan. It is called SEDEP ("Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion") and offers various courses for returnees.
One course is specifically for women. There you can learn how to raise poultry.
The training includes:
- All kinds of information about poultry farming
- Advice on commercial questions
- Start-up support, including 25 chickens as starting capital
- Material, such as metal hen houses and cooling equipment
These courses are held in Herat and Bamyan provinces. The organisation "Hand in Hand" runs the courses.
