Help for returnees
The African Development Organisation for Migration (AFDOM) helps people returning to their country. AFDOM runs the Village of Hope centre in Tamale.
It offers various services there:
- advice for returnees
- financial help and advice for start-ups
- temporary accommodation
- temporary health insurance.
The centre offers courses in the following fields:
- sustainable agriculture
- tailoring and dressmaking
- dying and batik work
- soap making
- painting and design
- glass making
- reading and writing (learning or improving).
The Village of Hope is located in Tamale.
The services and training courses are free of charge.
