Assistance after returning

Preparing & initial help from ERRIN

The "European Return and Reintegration Network" (ERRIN) makes it easier for returnees to make a new start in their country of origin. The IRARA organisation runs the programme in Afghanistan.

Their programme offers assistance in various areas to returnees from Europe. For example:

  • Legal issues
  • Medical care
  • Long term accommodation
  • Education and language training
  • Job hunting
  • Business start-ups
  • Support with job placements

ERRIN is currently offering various action plans as part of its programme:

  1.  "Business Start-up Plus": whilst ERRIN’s regular support is mainly focused on securing people’s livelihoods and family income, its supplementary support is intended to promote the development of entrepreneurial activities, and is granted if it creates at least one additional job: contributions in kind amounting to 3,000 euros per person (or per family); duration: 01/08/2019 – 31/12/2020.
  2. "Training and Careers for Women": female returnees (aged 16 years and above) can receive supplementary assistance to achieve greater economic independence if they take part in vocational training and thus create the conditions for increased self-determination or self-employment: contributions in kind amounting to 2,000  euros per person (or per family); duration: 01/08/2019 – 31/12/2020.

Further information on these action plans can be found here.
