Do you want to increase your chances of getting a job, but find that difficult? This is where you can get support.

The programme “Inkluzija Roma i drugih marginalizovanih grupa u Srbiji” offers support and training for Romani and Roma, for returnees and for people finding it difficult to get a job and to integrate into society.

This programme provides:

- Careers advice
- Career mediation, in other words help with problems in the workplace
- Training in different lines of work. For example,  

  • in the textile, catering, vehicle and mechanical engineering sectors and
  • in the social professions and in care

Starting a business

You’ve come back to Albania. Would you like to start your own business? The organisation Terre des Hommes (TDH) can arrange for you to take a training course on starting a business.

This training uses the CEFE method (Competency-based Economies through Formation of Entrepreneurs). The training course concentrates on various aspects, such as:

  • Can your business idea be realised?
  • Market identification and digital marketing
  • Implementation of your business idea
  • Funding and financial management
  • Training in corporate governance for small businesses
  • IGA (income generating activities)

These IGA include all activities that generate extra income and make families economically independent. Participants are given benefits in kind in the form of goods or materials for starting a small business.

As budding entrepreneurs, you’re given ongoing support after the training course. This includes:

  • Coaching sessions to analyse whether the business idea is really functioning in practice
  • Advice on how to write a good business plan
  • Advice on any technical support that may be needed and the technical support options that would be suitable
  • Advice on successful implementation of your business idea, involving aspects like financial management, networking and cooperation arrangements

The training course is intended for ...

... anyone with a good education (proven basic knowledge in maths and writing) and is prepared to learn.
... anyone who is highly motivated and prepared to realise a new business idea.
... anyone who is prepared to use family assets (such as land or livestock) for their business idea.

Job preparation and job placement

You’ve come back to Albania. Are you looking for a job dealing with sustainable development? The organisation Terre des Hommes (TDH) can help you.

You’re welcome to make an appointment to speak with professional advisors. They’ll give you the information you need, answer any career questions you have, and help you with finding a job.

These advisors provide the following services:

  • They use their local network to help you find a job. This network includes employment offices, companies, partner organisations, municipalities and other relevant institutions.
  • The advise you and assist with submitting an application.
  • They help you to improve your skills relating to communication, ethical behaviour, and your rights and obligations at the workplace.
  • You’re given advice on how to cooperate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • They also offer motivational counselling.

Assistance after returning

Have you just returned from Germany to Albania? Do you first need to get your bearings and look for an opportunity to start again? Help is available with this. The URA Albania reintegration project is there for you. Please take note of the conditions below.

URA Albania offers advice and emergency aid in the first few weeks and
months after returning. This assistance makes it easier to make a new start in Albania.

The individual support you get depends on your personal needs. It starts off with you having a confidential chat with one of the project’s social workers in Tirana. He or she will then work with you and your family to prepare a plan that sets out the help you need.

URA Albania offers help like the following:

  • Welfare advice
  • Psychological counselling
  • Emergency aid in the form of contributions in kind
  • Special help for children

Conditions: You can get help from URA Albania if you have come from one of the following federal states in Germany: Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Bremen, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein.
You can only get help after voluntarily returning if you come from one of the following states:
Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia.

One further condition is that you must have lived in Germany for at least 3 months immediately before your return.

Help with starting a business

The Innovation Hub Tirana will help you with the first steps of starting a business. You can get support in the following areas:

  • start-up advice
  • marketing
  • legal matters
  • information and communications technology.

You can:

  • take part in seminars
  • seek advice
  • use the Hub’s infrastructure.

The Hub also runs a number of different training courses.

The training courses are free, but you will need to send in your business idea to apply for them.
