Accommodation, meals and medical support

Have you returned to Gambia and are you looking for accommodation?

The Gambian-German Advisory Centre for Jobs, Training and Reintegration (GGAC) and the Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS) can offer you free accommodation. 

You can stay for up to 3 days
•    and will be given something to eat, drink and a place to sleep.
•    A doctor can examine you and provide medical care, if required. 

First contact the GGAC and speak to one of the advisers. The GGAC can refer you on to the GRCS depending on your needs.

Psychosocial Support provided by the Gambia Red Cross Society

Have you returned to Gambia, but aren’t sure where to begin?

You can get help from
•    the Gambian-German Advisory Centre for Jobs, Training and Reintegration (GGAC) after your return 
•    and from the Red Cross (The Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS)) 

Please first contact the team of advisers at the GGAC. The team will discuss with you what you need to reintegrate into life in Gambia. They can refer you to the Gambia Red Cross Society as necessary. 
The Red Cross team can take care of your psychosocial needs. This can help you to deal with the stress of returning.
