Support with finding a job

Both the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (APRK) will support you with career guidance. The APRK will assist you in finding a suitable job. This also includes consultations.

If you’re looking for a job, you can make an appointment to speak with one of our advisors.
These specialists will even give you tips on your application.

The APRK also runs vocational training centres in seven regions of Kosovo. These centres offer 69 workshops on 30 different careers.

Digital media and IT

The IPKO Foundation can help you to become active in the world of digitalisation and IT.

It organises a number of different events. At the events you can learn about things like:

  • robotics
  • developing apps
  • design.

You can do an IT course at Open Data Kosovo. There are a number of different courses. Beginners can do an introductory course on basic computer programmes. Advanced students can learn programming.

Open Data also has a mentoring programme. Your mentor will support you throughout your computer training.

Languages and IT

The Training and Development Institute (TDI) is part of the American University in Kosovo.

It has a number of different language and IT courses. For example on:

  • web development
  • programming (Java).

You can also take language exams such as the TOEFL test at TDI. If you pass the exam, you will get a certificate. TDI’s certificates are internationally recognised.

TDI has good contacts to the business sector. This can help you to find a job.

Learning German

You can learn German at the Österreichisches SprachInstitut. There are beginners and advanced courses.

You can take an exam at the end of each course. If you pass the exam, you will get a certificate. The certificate is accepted in Germany.

You can learn German at the Goethe-Zentrum in Pristina. The centre offers beginners and advanced courses.

You can take an exam at the end of each course. If you pass the exam, you will get a certificate. The certificates from the Goethe-Zentrum are recognised in Germany.

You can also go to a different language school and just take the final exam at the Goethe-Zentrum. This is another way to get an official certificate.

You can train for different jobs at Diakonie Kosovo’s new centre. Diakonie focuses on training in health care. Nursing is one example.

Kosova Women 4 Women (KW4W) supports women in developing their job skills.

KW4W offers a range of services for women:

  • financial support.

Sometimes there are also training courses for men. These courses focus on the disadvantages faced by women in society and what can be done about it.

All the courses are free of charge.
