Assistance for women and girls

The organisation “Lady” provides the following services to assist women and girls:

  • Advice on career development
  • Psychosocial counselling for women and girls
  • Advice on starting a business and general career guidance
  • Training courses in preparation for the job market

Preparation for the job market includes these modules:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Craft trades
  • Tailoring
  • Design
  • Cooking and baking

The team from “Lady” will explain each of the modules during your initial consultation. The decision regarding a module is made together and depends on your interest and skills. You can also choose a second module if required.

“Lady” also offers IT and computing courses.
After successfully completing a course in the basics of IT, you can take part in an extra course to become a trainer.
These courses are also open to young males.

Support with finding a job

Both the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (APRK) will support you with career guidance. The APRK will assist you in finding a suitable job. This also includes consultations.

If you’re looking for a job, you can make an appointment to speak with one of our advisors.
These specialists will even give you tips on your application.

The APRK also runs vocational training centres in seven regions of Kosovo. These centres offer 69 workshops on 30 different careers.

KHCS Mother Teresa can advise you on starting your business.

It offers individual advice: you will be able to discuss your business idea with a mentor.

A training programme is also available. The training covers the following areas:

The Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK) can help you with your business start-up.

You can use your business idea to apply to participate in a support programme.
Participants will get office space and financial support. An experienced contact person will support you throughout the programme.

ICK offers various training courses. For example on:

  • IT
  • social media
  • marketing.

The training courses are free of charge for support programme participants. Other people will have to pay a fee for the courses.
