Digital and Social Media Marketing

This self-paced course developed by the Ghanaian-European Centre for Jobs, Migration and Development (GEC) will help you to market your business on social channels and show you how to effectively reach your audience. You will get an introduction into digital marketing and social media and learn how to use social media. You will also learn about different social media platforms and how your business can be found on Google. It will take you about 90 minutes to complete this course and you will receive a certificate a digital certificate.

Who is this course for?

The course is intended for SME professionals in management positions, and anyone interested in the topic. It has a focus on the Ghanaian market but is still relevant for related markets.

  • You will learn how to explain the value of online media in promoting a business
  • You will learn how to generate leads through online resources appropriate to the business

Vocational qualification and social support - Stable, Train and Empower Me (STEM)

Returnees are offered individual economic reintegration assistance through the provision of vocational skills trainings and business start-up support.

The vocational skills trainings include:

  • Textile and Fashion Design Training – 12 Weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Hairdressing Training – 8 Weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Poultry Farming Training – 2 Weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Fish Farming Training – 2 weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Soap Making and Fragrance Production – 1 week, plus start-up tools
  • Photography and Video Production – 8 weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Catering Services – 4 weeks, plus start-up tools
  • ICT and Hardware Repair – 6 weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Web Design – 5 weeks, plus start-up tools
  • Graphic Design – 8 weeks, plus start-up tools

Additionally, social support is offered which includes:

  • Psychosocial support
  • Provision of short- and longer-term accommodation for returnees for a maximum of 3 months

The Lagos State Employability Support Project (LSETF) offers various training courses.

The project is for young men and women. The following conditions apply:

  • You live in Lagos State.

  • garment making
  • hospitality
  • tourism
  • entertainment
  • health care.
