You have returned to Pakistan? Or you live in Central Punjab and are looking for new perspectives? Mojaz Foundation provides support for economic and social inclusion through entrepreneurship.

They provide:

  • Enterprise Development Training for running a small business
  • In-kind support through the provision of business related equipment, tools and machinery

The activities take place in Central Punjab.

Advice concerning job hunting and starting a business

In Germany and interested in going back to Pakistan? Or are you living in Pakistan and looking for new opportunities like starting a business or switching careers? The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) will give you individual advice.
This offer includes:

  • Support with starting a business
  • Support with social reintegration
  • Psychosocial support
  • Legal advice

The advisory team will refer you to a partner organisation or employment agency if required. There are over 100 agencies in Pakistan.

Prospects for young people

Kamyab Jawan is a programme run by the Pakistani government. It improves the social and economic situation of young people.

Kamyab Jawan supports the youth programmes of the regional governments. These programmes promote aspects such as the technical, vocational and digital knowledge of young people. Support is also given to young people who want to start their own business.

Helping young people to find a job

The Punjab Skills Development Fund supports young people in their job search. It offers short vocational courses. These courses teach them the skills they need to earn their own income. PSDF also supports young people when they are setting up small businesses.

A fee is payable for the courses, but it is possible to apply for a subsidy.

Training courses for those aged between 18 and 40

Would you like to improve your qualifications? The "Skills for all" element of the Kamyab Jawan programme offers a wide range of opportunities. This programme is aimed at men and women aged between 18 and 40. Over 200 courses are available in around 500 institutes throughout Pakistan.
These training courses include, for example:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Cloud computing
  • Mechatronics
  • High technology
  • Web design

The courses are subject to a fee, but part of the costs will be subsidised.

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) aims to achieve social progress in Pakistan.

Vocational training

Interested in specialist vocational training? TEVTA (Provincial Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority) offers different courses and certificates that help you become a skilled worker.
TEVTA operates three different institutes that offer:

  • Technical and vocational training courses
  • Certificates and diplomas (for courses lasting 6 to 24 months)
  • Short training courses geared to industrial demand (3–6 months)

Women and men are taught separately.

These training courses are offered in Punjab.

The aim in Pakistan is to achieve a better match between young people’s skills and corporate demand. That is the reason behind a training programme for young people in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Balochistan

This programme supports young people via:

Training in parallel to your existing job is possible.

Open University studies

The Allama Iqbal Open University is a distance learning university with tradition. Its goal: "Education for all".

The university offers Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSSC) and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Certified courses and basic functional courses for illiterate people are also available. Doctorates are also possible.

Subjects mainly include Arabic, Islamic Studies, Natural Sciences and Humanities.

Costs are involved and registration is required.

The Career Counselling & Job Placement centre (CC&JP) supports young people in finding a job. There are more than 100 CC&JP centres in Pakistan. Among other things, the offer includes:

Continuing vocational training

Would you like to further your training? This is where to find courses. These courses are arranged by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).

You can register for free and upload your CV. You will then be offered suitable courses. These courses are offered in all Pakistani provinces.
You have to pay a fee for the courses, but you can apply for a subsidy or scholarship.
