About the Ghana Job Fair
The Ghana Job Fair is an initiative of the Ghanaian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (GGC) aimed at contributing to the Government of Ghana’s efforts to improve youth employment and to develop soft skills and entrepreneurship skills, especially among the youth. The Ghana Job Fair is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR). The GGC and the MELR have so far organised four job and career fairs, with the 2021 edition being a hybrid event because of the corona pandemic.
Why is it a hybrid edition?
The Ghana Job Fair 2021, Hybrid Edition is a direct response to the times we are in (COVID-19) and the Government of Ghana’s restrictions related to in-person events. Enacting a mixed approach of physical inputs at a venue in Accra with online engagement opportunities, the fair will offer participants a unique experience by bringing together experts in entrepreneurship, digitalization and the future of work. To prepare job seekers for their engagement with participating companies, the event will make available training sessions on career guidance, digital skills, and entrepreneurship competencies. Through this, the Ghana Job Fair 2021, Hybrid Edition will provide a platform for innovation and skills set enhancement to qualified and trained job seekers and entrepreneurs.
