Whether you are looking for a job, want to learn new skills or take the next step in your career – the Pakistani-German Facilitation and Reintegration Center (PGFRC) is here to support you. We are happy to give you advice – regardless of whether you have recently returned or always been living in Pakistan. Below you will find answers to the most important questions about job search and job placement. 

I don't have a job – what can I do?
You can contact the PGFRC and our team will be happy to advise you on new opportunities. During the first interview, our advisors will get an overview of your skills and professional experience. Then the team will create a tailor-made plan for you based on your knowledge and experience and taking into account your wishes and needs. 
 

I don't have any work experience. Can you still support me?
We have a large network, so our advisors can also refer you to a partner organisation. Depending on your interests, you can attend technical, vocational and other qualification/educational courses there. Among tThe providers we work with are include the Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority and the Punjab Skills Development Fund. To increase your chances in the job market, you can also enrol in higher education certificate courses and Bbachelor's and Mmaster's degree programmes, for example at the Allama Iqbal Open University. Or you can gain immediate work experience: : the Prime Minister's Youth Internship Programme offers a one-year paid internship.

I have the necessary skills and work experience, but still can't find a job. How can you help me in this situation?
We can support you in various ways:. fFor example, in preparing your profile and cover letter, in preparing for interviews, and in having your documents and skills certified for the application process. We will work with you to find suitable job advertisements and support you in registering with online job portals. You can also take part in the application training organized by PGFRC. We can also refer you to available jobs directly, dependingaccording to on your skill set. 

I have the necessary skills for a job, but I lack an explicitly required certificatedon’t have the necessary certification. What can I do?
We can support you in getting your skills certified through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RoPL) program. If you still miss lack certain skills, we can recommend specific training courses where you can acquire the required certificates, for example from the "Punjab Trade Testing Board". 

I already have a job but I would like to further my education. What are the options?
You can enrol for qualification courses and higher education programmes that will enhance your profile. This can give you a better chance to take the next steps in your career and increase your income. We can give you advisce you onabout this.

Which jobs are currently in high demand?
There is currently a high demand for experts in the assembly ofassembling solar modules and for technicians in the repairing of mobile phones. There is also a demand for experts in the fields of electronics and installation. There is high a strong demand in many a lot more areas, but it varies a lot. We continually identify jobs that are in high demand, based on labour market studies. 

Do I have to pay for the advice? 
All PGFRC services and consultations are free of charge. Moderate fees may apply for some courses and training sessions run by organisations we work with. However, we would also clarify this with you in the course of the counselling and, if necessary, talk about possible subsidies or alternatives.
