My company, my future

A man looks into the camera. Some machine parts can be seen in the background.
Jerry now manages an agricultural machinery company.

My company, my future

My name is Jerry and I come from Nigeria. A scholarship enabled me to study engineering in the UK for a year in 2014. After that it became clear to me: I wanted to return to Nigeria and utilise my knowledge in my homeland.

I have set up my own small company in Nigeria. Now I develop high-quality agricultural machinery. Staff at the Deutsche Gesellfschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) supported me with planning and registering my company.

They also provided me with business training I could use to establish contacts with other companies and customers. Now I already employ four people and would like to expand my company. I am happy that I remained loyal to Nigeria.

As of 01/2019
